Spring Coronation
April 01-03, 2016
Kingdom of Atlantia

A magnificent day is coming when all will welcome our new King Dietrich von Stroheim, a fierce warrior and leader, and his bold Queen Thora Heri, the strength and beauty of Valhalla. It will be a day filled with activities honoring our new majesties with fighting, feasting, and celebration.

Martial Activities:  Lots!! A Valhalla Tourney will be held for heavy and rapier fighting, where the slain will be selected by Valkyries to fight on a team for Odin or Freya in a field battle after the tourneys are complete. There will be a King’s Cut and Thrust Champion Tourney where the final combatants will face his majesty to determine the winner. The gods and goddesses of Norse mythology will be represented on the archery range.

List field space is being coordinated by Herrin Emeludt Hänsler at happyemmie[AT]icloud.com

Arts & Sciences Activities: Cultural Atlantia: This is a new competition that will be held at Coronations. Their Highnesses have requested that we pay homage to the Odin and Freya with our arts and sciences. Use creativity and ingenuity to create and document an entry relating to these deities. The winner of the competition will receive a reward. The judging will use new forms and criteria which can be found athttp://moas.atlantia.sca.org/tempore.htm

Poeta Atlantiae: The competition for the new Poeta Atlantiae will be held at Spring Coronation. You must write two (2) poems in documentable medieval form. One poem should honor our new queen and the second should honor our new king. Documentation is required as well as a letter of intent stating what you wish to accomplish as Poeta. You must be present to enter.
